Nearly 4,000㎡of Mcwell Fusible Daylighting Panels Installed at Luoyang Longsheng Ethylene Industrial Park
Release time:
Recently, the installation of Mcwell's fusible daylighting panels at the Longsheng Industrial Investment Group's ethylene supporting industrial park in Mengjin District, Luoyang City, Henan Province, has been successfully completed. As a key construction project in the petrochemical sector, the park imposed stringent requirements on the fire safety, daylighting performance, and compatibility of building materials. After careful consideration, nearly 4,000 square meters of Mcwell's Type 470 fusible daylighting panels were selected as the core roof smoke exhaust system, establishing a solid foundation for the safe operation of the plant buildings.
The core advantage of Mcwell's fusible daylighting panels lies in their exceptional fire and smoke exhaust performance, making them highly suitable for demanding fire safety requirements. Within a temperature range of 120°C to 150°C, these panels can automatically melt and perforate. At 140°C ±5°C, they achieve a perforation rate exceeding 80% within one minute, rapidly forming effective smoke vents. This allows for the timely release of high-temperature smoke generated during a fire, securing critical golden time for personnel evacuation and firefighting efforts.
Importantly, the melting process produces no molten drips, fundamentally eliminating the hazard of secondary fires caused by dripping debris. The product strictly complies with the mandatory requirements for fire smoke exhaust equipment specified in the "Technical Standard for Smoke Management Systems in Buildings" (GB51251-2017).
During construction, Mcwell's professional installation team, leveraging the structural characteristics of the plant buildings, employed specialized interlocking installation techniques. This method effectively eliminated potential leakage points horizontally and prevented panel cracking due to thermal expansion and contraction vertically. It ensured a tight, seamless fit between the panels and the roofing system, significantly enhancing the roof's waterproofing and structural stability.
Furthermore, these fusible daylighting panels offer excellent UV resistance and weather-ability, with a UV-blocking rate as high as 99.99%. They are well-suited to withstand the long-term corrosive effects of the industrial park environment, guaranteeing stable daylighting performance over an extended period.
The successful application of these fusible daylighting panels in this project not only ensures the high-quality completion and future operational safety of this specific site but also provides valuable practical experience for selecting and implementing fusible daylighting strips in similar large-scale industrial buildings. This is particularly relevant for sectors with stringent fire safety requirements, such as chemical plants and warehousing facilities.
