A Reveal on Round-Arch Electric Daylighting & Smoke Exhaust Skylights: Classifications and Core Features

Release time:
As essential ventilation and daylighting equipment for industrial and civil buildings, round-arch electric daylighting and smoke exhaust skylights, with their arched design offering advantages in drainage and snow-shedding, have become a preferred choice for factory buildings. Their product series is categorized into Side-Opening, Sliding, and Top-Opening types based on the opening mechanism, with each model tailored to specific usage needs and emphasizing distinct core features.

Side-Opening Round-Arch Electric Daylighting & Smoke Exhaust Skylights primarily address the need for "high-frequency ventilation," making them suitable for buildings requiring regular ventilation combined with daylighting. Opening mechanisms are installed on both sides of the skylight, with a single set capable of controlling a maximum length of 12,000mm. The opening angle ranges from 30° to 60°, ensuring highly efficient ventilation. The main frame utilizes special-purpose profiles made from color-coated steel sheets with polyurethane foam cores, providing a sealing performance meeting the GB/T7106-2008 Grade 8 standard and a wind pressure resistance of 4.5 kPa, enabling it to handle windy environments. Paired with daylighting materials like polycarbonate (PC) sheets or FRP (Fiber Reinforced Polymer), it balances lightweight construction with durability, making it an ideal choice for settings like production workshops with frequent ventilation needs.

Sliding Round-Arch Daylighting Skylights focus on "daylighting priority with emergency smoke exhaust." They employ frames made of thermally broken aluminum alloy profiles. The opening sash slides to one side, providing a ventilation area not less than 90% of the sash area when open. The thermal break structure enhances thermal insulation, with a low thermal conductivity coefficient, making it suitable for buildings with energy consumption control requirements. The sealing strips fit tightly with the profiles, ensuring reliable watertightness. Primarily used for daylighting under normal conditions, they can be quickly opened for emergency smoke exhaust. They are well-suited for warehouses, precision workshops, and similar scenarios.

Top-Opening Round-Arch Skylights emphasize "stable daylighting + emergency safety." They feature a composite structure of rectangular steel tubes and aluminum alloy profiles. The opening sash lifts upwards at an angle of 30° to 45°, offering strong structural stability. This type provides excellent daylighting efficiency when closed during normal operation and allows for rapid, electrically controlled opening for smoke exhaust in emergencies. It is suitable for buildings that do not require frequent ventilation but need fire safety integration. The skylight unit is lightweight and can be paired with 10mm PC sheets or 3mm FRP panels, balancing light transmittance and impact resistance.

All three types support Standard, Intelligent, and Intelligent Networked control modes and are equipped with fire safety integration functionality, allowing connection to fire alarm systems for emergency activation. Daylighting materials are optional, including PC sheets and FRP panels, meeting diverse requirements for light transmission and protection. Their wind pressure resistance and air tightness comply with or exceed national Grade 8 standards. During selection, precise matching based on ventilation frequency, thermal insulation needs, and opening frequency is recommended to ensure compliant and efficient building ventilation and daylighting.
