Mcwell's Electric Daylighting and Smoke Vent Skylight Project for Xi'an East Station Successfully Completed
Release time:
As a core integrated transportation hub in Northwest China, the construction of Xi'an East Station has garnered significant attention. Recently, the Electric Daylighting and Smoke Vent Skylight project for Xi'an East Station, part of the Xi'an to Shiyan High-Speed Railway, was completed to a high standard by Mcwell. This project fortifies the safety infrastructure of this major transportation hub, which integrates high-speed rail, conventional rail, subway, and bus services.
The Xi'an-Shiyan High-Speed Rail is a crucial section of the broader Xi'an-Wuhan High-Speed Rail network, representing a key stroke in Shaanxi Province's "米"-shaped high-speed rail grid. Xi'an East Station, as its central node, features project scale and technical requirements that rank among the highest in the region. After a competitive bidding process, Mcwell distinguished itself through professional expertise, providing custom-tailored solutions featuring two types of electric daylighting and Smoke Vent Skylights: side-opening and arched side-opening models, with a total installation area exceeding 14,200 square meters.
The side-opening electric skylight boasts a scientifically designed structure, offering dual advantages of wind resistance and waterproofing to prevent air backflow and rainwater infiltration. Its electrical control box and window actuators hold CCCF fire protection certification. The DC24V electric actuators enable precise control, achieving full opening within 60 seconds over a control span of 15 meters, ensuring rapid response in fire emergency linkage scenarios. The arched side-opening electric skylight is specifically adapted to the extreme climate of Northwest China, featuring exceptional resistance to snow and wind loads, excellent drainage and snow-shedding performance, high light-transmittance panels, and a large ventilation and smoke exhaust area. It combines energy-efficient daylighting with improved indoor air quality.
Drawing on extensive practical experience from numerous benchmark transportation hub projects, such as Baoji High-Speed Rail Station, Yiyang High-Speed Rail Station, Kunming West Passenger Station, and Chengdu Metro, Mcwell adhered to rigorous standards throughout the entire process from customization to installation, integrating profound technical expertise into every construction detail. Today, this integrated safety barrier, combining daylighting, smoke exhaust, and fire protection functions, not only safeguards the operations of Xi'an East Station but also enhances its role as a regional hub, injecting strong momentum for its efficient operation upon the opening of the Xi'an-Shiyan High-Speed Rail in 2026.
